Preparation & Safety

How should I prepare for my session?

Hydrate: Drink plenty of water the day before.
Eat: Have a solid meal 1–2 hours before your appointment.
Sleep: Get a good night’s rest.
Clothing: Wear comfortable clothes that allow easy access to the area being tattooed (and that you don't mind getting a bit of ink on).

Does it hurt?

Tattoos involve needles, so there is always some level of discomfort. Most people describe it as a "hot scratch" or a "pinching" sensation. The pain level depends on the location and your individual tolerance.

Aftercare

How do I take care of my new tattoo?

Provide a brief summary here, but always give them a physical or digital care sheet after the session.

Keep the bandage on for the recommended time.
Wash gently with fragrance-free soap.
Apply a thin layer of recommended ointment/lotion.
Do not pick, scratch, or submerge in water (pools/baths) for 2–3 weeks.

Are there any medical contraindications?

Remind clients that they cannot be tattooed if they are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under the influence of alcohol/drugs. If they have specific skin conditions or are on blood thinners, they should consult a doctor first.
